A message from Supreme Directorum Harry Lieberman

Directorum’s Report

 July 2008 Inaugural Address

It is my pleasure to stand here and welcome all of you this evening. This honor took 2 score and 8 years to accomplish. I was inducted into Zeta Chapter in 1960. Although it seems like forever, being a part of this fraternal organization seems like it only began yesterday.

I would like to take a few minutes to recognize my son and granddaughters, Sherry and her children and my Cleveland cousins, who Trudy has already introduced.

At this time let me congratulate my partner in life and in fraternal affairs for the coming year-my wife and National Ladies Auxiliary President-Trudy.

I would like to thank everyone from AZO for putting your trust in me. There are certain key people who I would be remiss in not naming as important in my AZO happenings.

First, I would like to thank Lou and Gloria for another dynamite Convention and for literally being here and there for Trudy and me in all aspects of our life.

To Frater Jeff Levy for taking on the task of Master of Ceremonies for this evening- you are a very special person.

For Frater Paul Holly for his inspirational invocation and for Frater Richard Mogel- a dear friend, who will be giving the benediction.

Thanks are also in order for John Anciano. He has been a great mentor. Lou Flacks, Mike Seidenman and Bruce Strell have been there for me 100% of the way.

The National Project this year will be the National Kidney Foundation. My family has been plagued by kidney problems and I would appreciate your support for this project.

My direction for the Fraternity for this coming year will be to find more missing alumni and involve them in their local chapter as well as Supreme. I would like to see more undergraduate chapters evolve and continue to grow to be an integral part of our fraternity. I would also like to see more chapters involved in awards.

In closing I again thank everyone and I hope you enjoy this very special evening.

Harry Lieberman
