  1. Recognize the pathophysiology of chronic heart failure

  2. Review the neurohormonal concept of congestive heart failure

  3. List common adverse events associated with CHF pharmacotherapy

  4. Discuss appropriate treatment options for the management of hyperkalemia

  5. Identify common CHF medications and their mechanism of action(s)
